Moon fully light up the night sky today. It will be up to 30 percent brighter than usual and 14 percent larger. Ostensibly, of course, because it will be in perigee, that is, the nearest point on the orbit Earth . Hence – in conjunction with the fullness – the name of Superksiężyc .
At the same time, more and more in the sky is Perseid , which is left behind by the comet of small bits of rock that at a speed of about 60 kilometers per second enter the atmosphere. This can be seen as meteors or shooting stars or flashes, there are a hundred per hour. Perseid peak activity at night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
In the coming days, late in the evening will also be seen with the naked eye flitting over the Polish International Space Station. Weather forecast, however – not the best.
