Over the last several months there has been an explosion of online animations transmitted via the GIF format. Facebook long defended itself against this format, but finally decided to support it.

GIFs, like video, will be subject to autoodtworzeniu. For fear the flood of animated content we have good news – you can turn off autoplay in your account settings.
In a special statement, Facebook explains the reasons for its reach decisions.
“We decided to support the GIF format to help people express themselves in a fun way using Facebook. As with many of the features available on Facebook want to make sure that everything works as it should, therefore, not publishing GIFs is not yet publicly available.

Forbes is trying to decide whether to introduce a new feature Facebook will change for the better or for the worse. On the one hand, GIFs may be simply interesting and fun, the other – can make us wait for a flood poor quality of content.
So far GIFs will be published by placing links to sites that provide photos. Will be reflected on our timeline in this form:
