Scott Kelly retirements April 1.

In early March, Scott Kelly returned from his last space mission. Along with Russian Mikhail Kornijenko stayed until 340 days on the International Space Station (ISS), and therefore twice as long as it takes standard mission on the ISS.

At the time, Kelly and Kornijenko studied the effect of prolonged exposure in space on the human body man, for possible flight later in the future to Mars.

After retiring Kelly will continue to cooperate with NASA, among others, in the research.

Scott Kelly became famous all over the world horizontal interest admiration and emotion photos of the Earth and outer space. In memory of his photographs were made of colored continents, illuminated by night cities (including Warsaw), the peaks of the mountains. the previous American record length of the flight was to Michael López-Alegríi, who spent 215 days in orbit in a row. This was in 2006 and 2007. Absolute record stay in space is Russian cosmonaut Valery Poles, who in the years 1994-1995 he worked at the station MIR 438 days.
