Smartphones Samsung manage very well when it comes to photographic opportunities and the flagship models like the Galaxy S7 / S7 edge, Note 5 or Galaxy S6, practically every year are at the forefront of photographic phones. But it seems that the Korean giant does not intend to rest on our laurels, and according to the latest leaks already preparing something new in this topic.
According to unofficial reports, Samsung is currently working on a new CMOS sensor in quite a large size, because of 1 / 1.7 “(in the Galaxy series S7 uświadczymy 1 / 2.5″ sensor). We find here in addition lens with f / 1.4, and when it comes to resolution, then we expect to find something in the range of 18 MP to 24 MP. This is a clear increase compared to the current generation, because the S7 find the 12 MP cameras.
The benefits of such a large sensor seem pretty obvious, because more light reaching it is more detailed images and less noise and better dynamic range. Besides, a larger sensor is also better quality at lower light conditions.
It may be recalled that some time ago Samsung announced the resignation from the cameras with NX family (at least in some markets) and therefore postponed the crew responsible for these devices to the mobile department. Thus, Koreans spend even more resources to develop their photographic capabilities of smartphones.
