Cable Car Kasprowy was launched exactly 80 years ago, March 15, 1936 year. This is the day the summit drove the first wagon, and today it is one of the main attractions of Zakopane. With Google Street View Now everyone can drive to the top and enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Tatras.

On the occasion of the 80th birthday of the queue Google Street View has prepared a special guide from the bottom of Kuźnice station by station to Myślenickie crags, up to the top of Kasprowy. In the thirties cars of the queue were considered highly advanced and accounted for tourists great attraction.

Before the year 1936, all eager to enjoy the views from Kasprowy have to climb up on it on their own. He initiated the construction of the cable, the then president of the Polish Skiing Association Ing. Alexander Bobkowski. Work on it lasted only eight months, even though it oprotestowało 96 natural and tourist organizations. It was the first such initiative in Poland and sixtieth in the world.

Now the route to the summit has a length of 4291 meters, and the difference in level between a place of departure and the final is 922 meters.
