For 2,017 years it is planned mission Solar Orbiter European Space Agency ESA , whose aim will be to study the Sun at a distance of close , as never before. Polish scientists from Warsaw and Wroclaw built for this mission, a special x-ray telescope STIX .
– The picture in the telescope formed on the basis of the reconstruction of the numerical image, like the image reconstruction in tomografach computer. It is like an X-ray tomograph, which will allow us to playback flares, the most energetic phenomena in the solar system – says prof. Janusz Sylwester from Wroclaw Department of Solar Physics Space Research Centre of Polish Academy of Sciences.
In the program we told also about what is the contribution of Polish scientists in this mission, how many degrees has the solar corona and how it will be carried out observations of the stars in such difficult conditions.
