Sony patents own smart contact lenses – Interia

Though electronic devices are getting smaller, the idea of ​​smart contact lenses are still it seems remote. Meanwhile, Sony patented just such a prototype that is able to record everything that appears before our eyes.

Thanks to the innovative contact lenses Sony will be able to take pictures at any time – just one blink. With built-in piezoelectric sensors, the lens wink separates conscious from unconscious. Not forgotten about the built-in storage mechanism through which the captured images can be viewed at any time.

It is well known that the time unconscious batting is 0.2-0.4 sec. It can therefore safely say that every blink longer than 0.5 s it is aware and is aimed at the liberation of a specific action (in this case – to take a photo).

Intelligent Sony lenses are supposed to have a built-in autofocus and image stabilizer corrects blur caused by movement of the eyeball. Keep in mind that Sony is not the only company that is working on this type of gadget. Custom lenses also creates Samsung and Google.
