Successive astronauts on their way to the International Space Station – BBC

Russian Space Flight Center reported that the start of a new rocket ran smoothly. The vehicle took three astronauts on the ISS – Russian Anatoly Iwaniszyn, who is the commander of the flight and on-board engineers: an American Kathleen Rubins and Japanese Takuya Onishiego. They will carry out a four-month research mission.

On the International Space Station Soyuz arrives just two days. Previously, up to 34 times will circle the Earth. On Saturday morning Rubins, Onishi and Iwaniszyn join the already staying there from March two Russian cosmonauts: Oleg Skipoczki and Alexei Owczinina and American Jeffrey Williams.

The Soyuz MS is a new construction with, inter alia, improved engines, which provide greater security for docking to the ISS.
