Previously it was thought that the inner core of the Earth is about five thousand degrees. However, these were only models. Now, researchers have studied the behavior of iron in the extreme conditions of high temperature and enormous pressure – as in the nucleus.
Need to be diamonds, X-rays and specialized equipment. Thus estimated as in the nucleus and form crystals melting iron. And this has enabled more accurate calculation of the temperature – estimated at six thousand degrees.
