Apple announced the fault has been detected in products sold by its speakers Beats Pill XL. The on them, the battery may overheat and, in rare cases, even cause a fire hazard. For this reason, Apple began taking back the device, and all those who make it can count on a full refund of its purchase.
Beats Pill portable speaker XL, connecting to the device via a Bluetooth interface is available for purchase from January 2014. Only now, however, the light of day flowed information about defects in its construction. According to Apple, which owns Beats from August 2014, it concerns a small percentage of copies. The company is known so far about eight cases of overheating the device, of which there has been a case of one finger burns, and in the case of other damage to the desks of the owner.
Because of these reports, Apple advises all users to stop using the speaker and return them to the manufacturer. To get a refund please use the form available on the website www.apple.com/pl/support/beats-pillxl-recall/request/. After filling out the data (including the serial number) on the user’s home address uploads will be paid package, which should be placed and return defective equipment.
After receiving his copy of the speaker you will be refunded the full price – 1,200 zlotys – in the form of funds to be released in the Apple Store or in the form of electronic payment (optional on the form). Apple estimates that the entire process should take about three weeks.
The company also notes that using a form available on the website is the only way to obtain a full refund. This is not possible through online stores and distributors its facilities. At the same time the program does not affect in any way the existing warranty on hardware.
Fault concerns only and exclusively the speaker Beats Pill XL, visible in the photo at the top of the page.
