Radeon R9 290x, with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and a core clock of 1000 MHz, it is unquestionably the most powerful single-GPU, which the company has to offer AMD. Compared to the weaker Radeon R9 280x, which is the successor Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition, a number of shaders (to 2816) texture units (up to 176) and the ROP units (up to 64) respectively, and a 512-bit memory interface. As specification translates into performance
AMD Radeon R9 290x is a good price-performance ratio. Most lies between GeForce GTX 780 and Titan, although it is the cheapest of the three. In recent games is doing almost flawlessly – and not only in Full HD, and even in 2560 x 1440 and – sometimes at the expense of image detail in the most demanding titles the likes of Crysis 3 – 3840 x 2160. Card so it seems a good choice for demanding gaming enthusiasts, especially since comparable competition from Nvidia is more expensive, but in November of that year may be shuffled (likely lower prices and GTX-780 and Titan).
