Students from the Polish dominated the competition Mars rovers … – News 24

Jeep Legendary III built by students of Rzeszów University of Technology won the international competition for University Rover Challenge. Poles won 460 to 500 points and won the prestigious competition.

The best in this year’s competitions University Rover Challenge proved to be the rover Legendary III created by students from the University of Rzeszow. In second place was American vehicle BYU Mars Rover. Third place again accounted for the Poles. This place won Scorpio vehicle with the Technical University of Wroclaw. On the fourth contest ended rover #next of Bialystok Technical University.

The task of the students taking part in the competition was to build a jeep, which had to overcome competition in five missions to simulate conditions on Mars. The setting of the contest was a desert in Utah in the United States. Vehicles designated by the jury investigated the area at an angle of geological, transported supplies, repaired the other devices and overcame obstacles – gives service Rzeszów University of Technology.
