Russian Progress spacecraft burned in the atmosphere – Dziennik.pl

Hull burned in the air at an altitude of several kilometers. For now, it is not certain whether any major part in general survived flight through the atmosphere . If so, then – according to earlier forecasts – dropped to one of the world’s oceans. Experts stressed that people risked nothing more. There has never happened to anyone fell on the head space junk.

An unmanned Progress was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan over a week ago. He flew to International Space Station ; its crew was supposed to deliver almost three tons of inventory. But soon after takeoff, Russian flight controllers lost contact with the ship. Control of the vehicle never recovered.
