Russian students will assist in the construction of the cosmodrome “Wastocznyj”. As reported by radio station Ekho Moskvy, delays in the implementation of this project already exceed 4 months.
“Wastocznyj” is created in the Amur, near the towns Svobodnye and Uglegorsk. Thanks to Russia will protect themselves from the former Russian Baikonur Cosmodrome, which is located on the territory of Kazakhstan.
“Wastocznego” start have both transport ships and crew. This year is planned first launch unmanned. Recently, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said that if not spaceport will be completed on time, “heads would roll”.
Today newspaper “Kommersant” reported that contractors are not able to account for more than 16 billion rubles, or the equivalent of about 70 million.
According to Ekho Moskvy radio, to make up for lost time the Ministry of Construction intends to involve the students’ work. According to unconfirmed information, which is why some universities to change the terms summer session.
