Apple sends a Polish company lawsuit on 600 pages. Demands domain devotion AP.PL – Gazeta.pl

The battle for Internet domain names is nothing new. Large companies often buy in bulk, any terms that may be associated with their activities, and some lie in wait for a good name in order to cash in on their resale. Artur Janiszewski in 1998 founded the cell phone service and accessory shop called Art Production. In May 2002, he registered the domain ap.pl, where from 2012 leads online store. I did not see any reason to yield to the request. Ap.pl address belongs to me for 13 years and did not register it for speculative purposes, but in order to be carried out at the company called Art Production. Apple said that ap.pl address phonetically too much like its name and trademark. Meanwhile, ordinary domain is an abbreviation of the company name. So I replied Apple, that I do not agree.

Soon after, Artur Janiszewski received a lawsuit from the company on 600 pages. Apple reportedly submitted a bid to purchase the domain for $ 6,000, but the owner turned it down considering that it is too low.
