Do not recharge your Galaxy S7, if the microUSB port is even a little bit of water – Tabletowo.pl

Samsung found as to protect the Galaxy S7 and S7 Galaxy Edge against the ingress of water into them. Smartphones survive half-hour immersion depth (maximum) 1.5 meters. However, after such a device is still vulnerable to damage. The manufacturer tried to remedy this.

One user wrote on the forum XDA-Developers that one morning took a picture under water your Galaxy S7 Edge, then put him four hours to dry. Then he plugged it into the charger, but flashed on the screen then the message: moisture detected in charging port and the smartphone does not start charging. After a few more hours, he tried again, and this time the display there is information about begun charging. The problem is that the user will want to use fast charging, but the battery smartphone filled in the ordinary, not accelerated pace. Unfortunately, this situation has not changed.

Currently, it is difficult to tell if this is an isolated incident or a similar problem affect all users. There is no doubt that the Galaxy S7 and S7 Galaxy Edge is waterproof and will survive contact with water under certain conditions. On the plus side is the fact that they inform the holder when the microUSB port is water, and this will just wanted to connect the charger. Avoided thanks to unpleasant consequences, because, as you know, this liquid does not like the current.

There remains, however, a second issue: whether contact with water could completely prevent the fast charging smartphone. Perhaps if this situation will begin to mass-repeat, this Samsung will send an appropriate statement. For now, this question remains unanswered.
