Thinking of buying the LG G3, Galaxy S6 Edge or other smartphone with a display 2K? Soon they become obsolete. Does anyone else see the sense in this arms race?
Sharp has just announced the first display for smartphones, working at 4K resolution. IGZO panel has a diagonal of 5.5 inches, which means that offered by the pixel density is up to 806 ppi. Displays have hit mass production next year. The first feature is not smartphones hit the shelves in late 2016 and 2017 year.
Currently, the best mobile displays available on the market work in 2K resolution. For many, the perceptible difference between 1080p and 2K on such a small display is minimal. Do 4K resolution in smartphones has any sense?
According to unconfirmed reports, 4K displays have hit the smartphone Galaxy Note 5 and Xperia Z4. And then it’s time to 8K?
