The prototype version of the AR glasses Sony could see already at this year’s CES. The next step producer who approaches him to release a consumer version of the device, is releasing software through which programmers create applications largely representing the functionality of the glasses.
SmartEyeGlass have in a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, microphone, speaker and camera with a resolution 3Mpix. Although the spectacle frame is pretty thick not everything could be found in it. Battery and navigation panel are placed in an additional, outer part of the connecting cable with the glasses. SmartEyeGlass will connect to any smartphone running on Android (version 4.1)
Sony already released SDK for developers. Hardware for application developers will go on sale in March next year.
