Ella Adventure begins with a manifesto. And it maintained a serious tone – we read in it that Ello – in contrast to these popular social networking sites – users do not want to treat their subjects. So there is no intention to treat us like products, does not want to sell our records and will not display ads.

Well, Well, actually, no advertising. There is also, however, some thought out idea, as Ella would be positively distinguished from Facebook. What can you say about Ella?
– the interface is austere
For me it is just an advantage and a nice change from the crowded Facebook.
– no threading
If you complain about Edge Rank Facebook, you will not be thrilled Ello. New entries fall into the stream of all the activity, which consists of information about who added us to your friends, information about new entries, but also for the comments. Well, it gets messy, because I do not know right away, to which the entry refers to a comment.

– real data are optional
Ello – as befits an anti-Facebook, has not entered the real requirement of personal data. And it turns out that, at least for me it is a problem. Because suddenly I get a notification that a friend added me a person that does not associate nor the avatar or the nickname.
– Search friends is a nightmare
By default, the friends get us a person who invited us to Ello. And that’s it – there is no service like “see who of your friends are already mailing to Ello.” Yes, there is tab “Discover friends”, but we find there mainly people recommended, and not those that potentially we know. Fortunately, there is a search engine that works pretty well
– there are many privacy settings
In general profile settings you can choose whether your profile will be visible to the public (also outside Ello) whether our entries can be comment and if Ella can add us to the anonymous statistics of Use.
There is no option for it’s own set of entries so that they are visible example. only for friends.
– act gifs
As for Google+, so on Ello act gifs added to the entries. This Facebook (yet) does not

– tags do not work
– there is no reasonable notification center
this by default will get an email every time someone comment on our entry, someone will add us to your friends or when we will be noted in the listing. Needless to specify that it ends up removing from the box dozens of emails a day
– there is no messenger
there is no private messaging system. Do you want to contact someone from the friends? Need to write in public, or … use the Facebook messenger.
– no mobile application
Ello founders announce that it has come to the end of the year. Only then may no longer be needed.
Remember Diaspora? In 2010, its creators promised that this will be the anti-Facebook. Services that will be treasured privacy that will not treat their subjects. Or Google+, which launched in 2011 and early waking only positive reactions? Diaspora never gained publicity (even one which now enjoys Ella), a Google+ is a ghost town .
Ella could be an interesting alternative to Facebook, if only offered anything more beyond idealistic manifesto. And we get the social network, which in terms of the number and expand the function could arise in times of MySpace. Ella wants to be, all that is not Facebook. And it just has a good chance because I be surprised if it reaches the true popularity.
