MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming is a completely new model that the manufacturer of the series for the players. The card has been equipped with a new version of the Twin Frozr cooling system, indicated with V, for which preliminary information already appeared two weeks before that, before the equipment went to the shops. And in the end it! The manufacturer has changed the appearance of the structure in comparison with the version used, inter alia, the GTX-780 e still have to deal with two fans, but this time with a slightly different shape, and the same block housing system seems a bit more aggressive.
Asus Formula Series products Strix (this is Asus first to introduce this solution to the salons in the GTX-e 780) MSI card is cooled in a półpasywny, and this means that you can count on the total silence at rest. As long as the core temperature does not exceed the limit specified by the manufacturer (60 degrees Celsius), as long fans remain motionless.
If you already have the core temperature exceeds the yield (in games happens after 2 min load), the fans start to spin at a speed of 300 rev. / min to gradually come to about 1100 rev. / min.

Tweaking
Charter podkręcaliśmy after increasing the power limit in the MSI Afterburner to 110%. The sliders went up like a storm, and artifacts appeared only sporadically at the base of the core clocked at 1375 MHz row. Eventually it slowed down up to 1355 MHz (it was fully stable value), which resulted in the 1505 MHz under load. Another Maxwell exceeding 1.5 GHz – this is no longer the case!

Sound pressure level

Temperature
GPU temperature is measured using the Far Cry 3 maximum image detail settings. This is certainly the most typical situation for most players. Far Cry 3 is a very demanding game that can squeeze the sweat of the strongest cards.
Please note that you can not compare temperatures of various systems! The amount of energy emitted is directly proportional to the amount of intake (and almost its equal, we present the results of measurements on the next page), and the temperature is relevant only in the context of assessing the quality of the cooling system in comparisons cards using the same layout.

MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming is the next successful design of this series, and the principle of no fault anything. Maxwell architecture allows to build very efficient, quiet and extremely well curling up graphics cards, which to all that need less energy than competing Radeon 290x R9 and previous generation Nvidia GTX 700 series MSI in this respect does not stand out. When it comes to the efficiency of the cooling system at rest tested the card is inaudible, and under load reached 23.5 dB, which is the least among tested by us so far Facilities GTX 970 and 980 in performance tests ahead by about 8-10% leading integrated AMD Radeon R9 290x, and reaches the level of the GTX 780 Ti-a, and so calmly you can run any game at sufficiently high image quality settings.
