Polish inventor of the Grand Prix at the fair in Brussels – Market Zrdowia

Prof. Alexander Sieroń the Medical University of Silesia received on Saturday (November 15) Grand Prix – the most important trade fair reward inventiveness in Brussels, for its innovative method of treatment of the legs, through which patients are likely to avoid amputation.

In the capital of Belgium ended 63 World Exhibition of Innovation, Research and New Technologies BRUSSELS INNOVA 2014. The highlighted Pole Krzysztof Turowski told PAP, head of the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion Polish Embassy in Belgium.

Professor Sieroń came to Brussels with an innovative device Oxybaria S, which helps in the treatment of chronic wounds of the feet and lower legs. It is a combination of “bacteriostatic treatment with ozone and improving local oxidation of hyperbaric oxygen.”

With this method increases the rate of healing of chronic wounds, particularly leg ulcers. This gives a chance for a better standard of living among for patients with diabetes.

Grand Prix for young inventors bring back from Brussels Technical students from Hawk Zdroj, who developed a system for remote power management devices and communication of disabled people.

Thanks to the invention, a person completely paralyzed can control the computer, lighting and communicate with their caregivers, even if these are not at home. The system is not produced on a commercial scale; created in the studios of school and sent to reporting to school.

The 90-member group of the jury that evaluated all inventions came from industry experts presented at the fair.

Polish inventions not only this year enjoyed the recognition of the jury. Last year the fair was awarded the Grand Prix for “Interactive fusion of morphological structures as a tool for planning, training and documentation intermodal operations using 3D images”, also developed by the Poles.
