Sony decided to join the company Conmputer Sony Entertainment and Sony Entertainment Network and combine them in a single entity called the Sony Interactive Entertainment. The Japanese company stresses that helps find us in the further development of the PlayStation, as well as services and software.

“By combining the strength hardware, software, content and network services PlayStation, will be even stronger entity with a clear objective, which is to further increase the whole business PlayStation” – says Andrew House, president of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Farewell SCE
Sony Computer Entertainment has so far been non-core Sony company responsible for putting on the market the next generation of PlayStation, as well as the production of games and software on this platform. The Sony Entertainment Network was in turn responsible for the development of PlayStation Network, PlayStation Store, and other digital services such as PlayStation Plus platform.
The combination of the two entities seems to be a logical move. Especially in the face of increasingly fierce competition PlayStation 4 Xbox One. The new company will be headquartered in San Mateo (California). The changes will come into force on 1 April, when Japanese companies start their business year.
