may soon welcome the first Android with a 64-bit processor.
HTC in recent months presented some interesting devices, led by Butterfly 2 (J butterfly) and One (M8) for Windows. The company is now moving to the presentation of the next device in the family Desire – model 820 equipment will certainly be cheaper than their predecessors, but that does not mean that we should not be interested in it. The more that can use 64-bit processor.
It is the Snapdragon 615 – new unit with eight cores Cortex-A53 (ARMv8), four of which are clocked at up to 1.8 GHz, and the maximum the timing of the remaining four were limited to 1 GHz (they operate at less demanding activities). MSM8939 is also a new Adreno 405 graphics and a full set of integrated modules including LTE connectivity. Snapdragon 615 has been made in the process of 28 nm (LP) and has a 64-bit memory controllers.
As if that were not enough, Qualcomm also posted a graphic, which shows the outline of the new smartphone. It fit perfectly for HTC published by the rendering of the visible portion of the upcoming smartphone.
Everything indicates that soon we will see the first Android with a 64-bit system. Somewhat surprisingly, it is to be presented in September, when the debut of Android L is provided only in October. However, we can expect that the Desire 820 will not be immediately available for purchase, so HTC will have a moment to take care of the software.
