are the best technical solutions, which is said to be “brilliant in its simplicity.” This is what might be called the idea of the company DynaOptics. But before him, a few words about the idea of optical zoom in mobile phones

It is worth to begin by stating a simple fact: optical zooms and smartphones too much not to love. And no wonder, since the trend in the modern phone is now clear: each new model should be thinner than its predecessor; by the way still it would be nice if it had a bigger screen. One can only imagine how overjoyed this trend are teams of designers, responsible for developing the camera module integrated with a smartphone. Someone comes to them with marketing and throws only: listen, model XYZ II is to be even better camera, we have something to boast about. Oh, and remember again that XYZ II will be about 1.5 millimeters thinner than the XYZ I. Good luck!
The effects of this type of “cooperation” marketing departments of R & D divisions can be seen very clearly today. A lot of the latest models of smartphones has protruding lenses. And it is not about fashion or beauty – just do not fit in the housing already! Just have a look if only for the iPhone 6, in which the designers tried to cram knee fairly complicated system of lenses and the matrix. It could not be!
At the same time, however, both the iPhone 6 as well as many other modern smartphones with protruding lenses and so there is no optical zoom. If they were, the problem with the fit of the lens in the body would be many times greater. How much? This issue can be maliciously comment picture.
Presented above for the exact converter built-in camera allows you to 8-fold increase in its focal length. A zoom of 8x is after all nothing fancy, just think even with zoom and 20x or 30x …
No wonder, then, that the number of phones and smartphones with optical zoom in the history of this industry is shockingly small.
It is also worth noting that all these phones and smartphones looked … unusual. Oddly, original, extremely. Did not resemble the typical cell phone from his era. Somehow we had to put the optical zoom, hide, maybe even integrate – and that’s what gave birth to telephone strangelets. And not everyone likes to use strangelets as a phone.
