Not long ago, when the head of Sony Mobile was Kuni Suzuki, the interview for us to convince that by far the best way to present the flagship phone is showing new products every six months. He told me then:

Well, actually – something has changed. Kuni Suzuki is no longer the president of Sony Mobile and semi-annual cycle disappears. Contrary to earlier expectations, Sony showed at the fair MWC 2015 new flagship Xperia Z4. Instead, the Xperia Tablet saw Z4 (the successor to the Xperia Z3 ), which is one of the best devices of this type on the market (here you can read more about him).

Instead of exacting performance flagship of this year we get a mid-range phone – Sony Xperia M4 Aqua. This is a very significant step in the direction of a big sale – M2 Aqua previous model sold well in the last quarter of last year. Flagship costing approx. 2,500 thousand everybody likes to watch, but these phones do not drive sales. In view of the declining share of the smartphone market Sony and huge losses brought by Sony Mobile has decided that instead of pen stroszyć need to sell and make money.

Cheaper, wiser

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua looks very good – designers made sure that users have a cheaper model does not feel mistreated. The phone has a chip inside the Snapdragon 615 with eight cores. The other changes off almost all the features of a smartphone, but can survive in the remnant power for many hours. Both of these modes are available in the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, so the phone without a problem should last well over 24 hours.

M4 Aqua has a 13-megapixel main camera Sony Exmor matrix RS ISO 3200 sensitivity and aperture of f / 2.0. On the front we have a 5 megapixel camera with a wide angle of view of 88 ° – is obviously a nod to fans Selfie.

It is worth noting that the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua immediately is running Android 5.0 Lollipop . As the name suggests the phone model is waterproof (submersible to 1.5 meters for half an hour), for the first time also presented water resistant USB port. In previous models, the flap was covered up that you had to open each time you charge. As a result, after some time, continued to adhere well. The phone will be available in black, white, coral and silver. In Poland, it can be purchased in May.

Although recently it was said that Sony could sell its branch dealing with mobile phones, the occurrence of a new president would rather suggest that the slow pace of the company, and instead of showing off the next supertelefonami will try to earn more with less.
