It has 1.9 meters tall, it must be supplied from outside the thick wiring harness, but is able to maintain balance even in the most demanding conditions. Atlas, the robot created by acquired by Google company Boston Dynamics, reached the next stage of development.
As you can see in the video, which hit the network, Atlas cope with natural obstacles and terrain elevations . This is possible thanks to the work of scientists on balance and dynamics. Atlas is modeled in this case, animals and humans – if necessary, adjust its position immediately, allowing him to maintain a stable position.

Soon a new stage
Marc Raibert of Boston Dynamics has provided during the August meeting with the media that his company is already working on the next version of the robot, which will not require external power supply. Soon the possibility of Atlas rise, Google has so increasing the chance for the realization of its purpose. It is the creation of a “real robot”, ie those who will be able to operate outside laboratories and will have a considerable level of autonomy.
Today, the Google robot walks “on a leash”, it needs external power supply. Soon, however, he will be able to move around more independently. Do you think this kind of work will serve us, or rather we should be afraid of technology that can get out of control or be used against us?
