More than half a million IP addresses were blocked by Wikipedia August 15. All of them belong to Neostrada operator Orange. This means that by the year none of the logged in user Neostrada will not be able to edit any of the projects of the Wikimedia foundation. This also applies to Polish and other language versions of Wikipedia.
As we read on the Wikimedia :
The reason locks are long, notorious vandalism, involving the destruction or deletion the articles of the encyclopedia, web collaboration and user pages, trollowaniu, defamation and application of uttering threats to other users, promoting attitudes and glorification of Nazi war criminals.
Lockout due to a lack of response from the Orange, which – according to the Wikimedia – did not respond to e-mails sent with reports of vandalism. On the facebook profile of Polish Wikipedia informed that the security team Orange knows about the whole situation.
A similar situation took place in July 2012, then further blocked addresses of Orange mobile services. Play was also blocked, which reacted to his spokesman entry on the blog . He wrote, among other things:
We give people access to the internet, we are not from this in order to control and limit its use. If there are violations of the institutions where you can report it. Sending e-mails to us does not change anything. We do never did. We’re not censor, and from what I know we’re not going to be. Absolutely we condemn all actions that violate the good name of the net, belief, even regulations. With this shite you have to fight, but in a civilized manner and in accordance with the law.
Comment Wikimedia Poland
As I learned from spokesman of the Wikimedia Poland, Krzysztof Machocki, it was about the repeated action of one persons. This troll for a good five years attacker Wikipedia articles – there is nice slogans such as “Heil Hitler”, “Jews to the gas”, “I know where you live, I’ll find you and busy …”. Typically, such changes are captured and eliminated either by bots or administrators so they are often not visible to the casual user. Machocki explains, however, that the association has an obligation to protect the work of thousands of people and can not risk that such content will be published on the project website.
The Orange was informed of the action vandal since the beginning of the year and, despite giving precise data time and address, did not take effective action.

In this situation puzzling is the way they chose Wikipedia. I have the impression that the method of mass cut-off was effective about 10 years ago. Today, the cost of the starter with data transmission is about 10 zł. If you troll for 5 years it probably bothers Wikipedia has enough determination to go to the kiosk on the card and continue to work.
Much better seems to be reporting the matter to the police – actions of this man definitely lie in the range of interest of law enforcement. In this way it could be to deprive troll longer to act. On the proposal Wikipedia Poland responded to the Facebook like this:
