Sony 4K monitors for medicine – PC Format

Sony working to product line 4K for imaging at all stages of surgical procedures. It includes medical 4K recorder, converter 4K Video over IP and 4K material management system. These products will be available in the next few months.

4K technology allows for four times higher resolution than Full HD images. It provides stronger the contrast, greater readability and more accurate color reproduction. Extra sharpness and picture detail means better visibility of details in surgery. The new monitors are ideal therefore for operating theaters in hospitals, surgery centers, clinics and other medical facilities.

Two new medical monitors 4K – 31-inch LMD-X310MD and 55-inch LMD-X550MD – let you see image of endoscopic surgical cameras and other medical imaging systems. They also provide interpolation HD video to 4K. To display uses LCD technology with industry-leading brightness. A characteristic feature of the new 4K monitor is unique, slim profile and easy to clean, resistant to splash water, covering the entire screen cover glass. Noteworthy too narrow frame and OptiContrast, which ensures high contrast with minimal reflections. In conventional LCD panels in the space between the liquid crystal display and is air cover. Sony develops an entire line of medical products 4K, which will ensure compliance with visualization technologies and systems used in surgery depicting. Larger bandwidth 4K image raises demand for products that enable properly display, distribute and store larger files 4K.
