Quantum Dot technology used in screens LG offers a wide range of colors. It was created using the nanocrystals whose size ranges from 2 to 10 nanometers. Each casts a different color – depending on its size.
The points of microscopic size, Quantum Dot technology enhances the capabilities of LG TVs with 4K Ultra HD IPS screens. According to the Korean manufacturer, color reproduction matrices IPS has been 30 per cent. improved over traditional LCD / LED.
In addition, LG TVs 4K Ultra HD with Quantum Dot does not contain cadmium and other toxic heavy metals.
LG announces that a new line of televisions 4K Ultra HD with
Quantum Dot will be available in 2015, complementing the range of Ultra HD receivers and OLED Korean company. 
The CES 2015 will be held from 6-9 January 2015.
