I just opened Campus Warsaw – a special place in Warsaw prepared by Google. As one of the first in Poland saw its interior.

The beautiful building campus is located in an area where since 1897 acted Warsaw Vodka Factory “Koneser”. As one of the first in Poland saw the inside of Warsaw Campus. They are beautiful, but it is only fitting.
Campus Warsaw is also reason to be proud – Google could have chosen any other place, and decided to invest in Poland, in Warsaw’s Praga.
For not familiar topic of this project we have prepared a set of questions and answers that should be a lot to explain:

The campuses are formed on the initiative of Google employees support entrepreneurs but Campus is a place where they can work young technology companies. There is no direct relation to the types of activity carried out by Google.

What is Google that is?
No, at least not money – it’s social mission. Those who will develop your business in the campus, does not reflect the shares of Google to. They do not pay him behind the desk (they pay the organization TechHub). You do not need to use Google tools (but can). They do not pay for expert advice. The company translates it – Google was created in the garage and has become one of the most important companies in the world. Now he wants to help other companies to spread their wings. Of course, Google derives from the indirect benefits – if the company will create a mobile application for Android, it will contribute to the development of their mobile ecosystem. And if you create a website, they’ll want to advertise on Google. If you decide to make a new 3D printer or satellite, it will increase the number of content available from a Google search.

What we will get out of it?
Let’s look at the data from other campuses . In 2014 companies that were involved in the Campus London have created 1,200 jobs. They collected 41 million pounds of funding. Experts advising young companies by 1100 hours. It’s a big chance for Polish. In the end, why Facebook, Ubery and other technology companies valued at billions of dollars can not occur in Poland?

I think a good chance for Warsaw
Campus will be in Warsaw, but its scope will cover the entire Central Europe. All the same, whether they are entrepreneurs from Chorzów, Riga, Budapest and Vilnius – anyone can come and either rent a desk and work on campus or take part in meetings with mentors.
What does it cost to rent a desk in the Campus Warsaw ?
The prices are not yet fully established, but start from 2000 zł annually. Rental desks corresponds TechHub and proposes two options to rent: a flexible mode and residency mode.
– the flexible mode, we have access to a desk for 20 hours a week. At the same time it should not be the same desk – he sits there, where there is free space. This mode is intended rather for people who develop the business part-time
– resident mode gives you access to a desk for 24 hours a week, and the desk is always the same. This option is intended rather for people who want and can your idea to devote as much time.

Yes. But first you have to inform managers of the building and ask if colleagues do not mind.
And what will rely meetings with mentors?
There will be meetings with lawyers, specialists Internet advertising, but also from business solutions. Young company will be able to hone inter alia of intellectual property rights or talk about what business model you choose. Part of the meeting will be organized by a team of Campus Warsaw, but most probably by the community.
