Google shoulder to shoulder with Apple against the FBI – Virtual Poland


 
  Open Letter, published by the head of Apple – Tim Cook – sparked a huge wave movements on the Web. The head of the bitten apple logo is praised by individual users, NGOs and groups supporting the ability to encrypt data, and hence – the right to privacy broad sense. Cook is supported even by … Google!

 
 Sundar Pichai, Google’s head of expressed his support for the policy of Apple on Twitter . Pichai notes that Google understands and respects the challenges that are placed on law enforcement, however, it is convinced that “the provision of services data, based on an official order” is different from “the requirements from companies that enabled it to hack into devices and the data of their customers. “

 Cook also mentions the consequences , which they would have if Apple has prepared for the FBI software, which requires a government agency. It cites in this regard on the legal record of 1789, while attempting to create a very dangerous precedent.

 
 The outcome of this case could have a huge impact on the privacy of US data – but certainly not limited to – users.
