Scientists have created with unions real micro-machines that can make in carrying out reactions and studies.
in 1983, the Sauvage group has developed a method of creating chemical chains of two associated particles in the form of półpierścieni. Of these elements it is possible to build large structures. Eight years later, Stoddart has created, among other things, the molecular Shuttle. In 1999, the team has created Feringa chemical micromotor that is driven by light.
According to the Committee, the discoveries of these scientists is comparable to the revolution that enabled the development of machines based on the electric current in the nineteenth century.
